The Shri Ram Murti Smarak College of Engineering and Technology, Bareilly (U.P.) India, will host an International Conference on Mathematics and its Applications in Science and Technology (ICMAST 2024) from August 30 to 31, 2024. In collaboration with the Central University of Punjab, Bathinda, and Pondicherry University, Puducherry, this conference aims to bring together researchers from academia, industries, technology, and R&D organizations worldwide, focusing on mathematics and its applications across various disciplines.The conference will encompass a wide array of topics, including but not limited to differential equations, mathematical modeling, wavelet analysis, control theory, graph theory, fuzzy set theory, simulations, dynamical systems, numerical analysis, solid and fluid mechanics, and computational engineering. Its primary goal is to facilitate discussions among mathematicians and experts from diverse fields, fostering the exchange of ideas and exploring recent advancements in computational and applied mathematics.The conference puts special importance to involve PhD students, post-doctoral fellows, and young researchers from across the globe, emphasizing inclusivity and the nurturing of emerging talent. Furthermore, the conference will feature esteemed keynote speakers specializing in the theme areas, ensuring an enriching and enlightening experience for all attendees.

The Department of Mathematics and Statistics was established in the year 2015. The department strives to be recognized for excellence among academic institutions in India and abroad. It offers M. Sc. and Ph. D. programs in the area of Mathematics and Statistics. Department focuses on providing a comprehensive curriculum at postgraduate and research level. It provides relevant research and career opportunities in India and abroad. In addition to the faculty’s strong research interests, there is an equally strong desire to provide instruction of the highest quality. Mathematics plays a critical role in our efforts to understand the nature of the physical universe and in the continuing development of our technological society. There is also a long tradition that recognizes the value of mathematics for its aesthetic appeal to the human spirit. Many students of the liberal arts decide to study mathematics for one or both of these reasons. Students also study mathematics in order to develop critical reasoning skills that can significantly contribute to many personal goals. Within the last few years the frenetic pace of research and development in computers and high technology has led to strong new imperatives for more mathematical expertise, and the need to nurture a new generation of mathematically competent men and women. The department offers a six months Certificate Course in Vedic Mathematics with intake of 50 students.

It is developing by leaps and bounds in terms of infra-structural facilities and human capital not only to fulfill the requirements of the current technological status but also to set itself as teaching and research center of eminence in future.

The Department of Mathematics was established in the year 1986 with a primary objective of nurturing students with a strong inclination towards advanced Mathematics, emphasizing both research and teaching. Our department offers a comprehensive range of programs including M.Sc. in Mathematics, Ph.D. programs in Mathematics, and a distinctive 5-year integrated M.Sc. program in Mathematics. We are equipped with state-of-the-art computing facilities and internet resources, ensuring an enriched academic environment for our students. Over the years, we've received valuable support for infrastructure development from the Department of Science and Technology (DST) under the FIST program during 2009-14, as well as the University Grants Commission (UGC) through the Special Assistance Programme (SAP) at both the DRS-I level (2009-14) and the DRS-II level (2015-20). The National Board for Higher Mathematics (NBHM) also extends its support for the acquisition of Mathematics-related library resources.
